ERTL Thomas Reviews (Wave 3)
Hi guys. ThomasBros01 here and today. We will review the third wave ERTL Thomas Toys. This will consist of:
Bill
Ben
Harold
Trevor
Enjoy.
Bill and Ben:
Bill and Ben are the same toy just with different nameplates. They are brilliant toys with sturdy wheels and coupling holes. The only flaw here is; The Brendam Bay at the top is very faint. Ah well, Doesn't take away from these great toys
Overall: 10/10 (Two toys, Two scores)
Harold:
The only one-off toy in the line. Harold looks a little more dopey than the real version. Otherwise, this is a great toy. Very accurate in shape and the spinning the blades will entertain children. The real flaw on this one is; The blades stiffen very quickly
Overall: 4.5/5
Trevor:
Our Mum loves Trevor. She keeps this one beside her bed :P This Trevor is a very nice. It is defiantly better than other Trevor toys sculpt wise. The paint is a little lazy on the wheels. Not having black on the edges. They could have had tires on it as the wheels are thinner on it than Bertie. Also. Some parts could have been painted gold instead of yellow. Not that it matters.
Overall: 4.5/5
Overall Thoughts: This just gets better and better. ERTL kept improving each time with these toys. The only shame with this one is. Only two engines and both of them are almost the same
Overall: 19/20

ERTL Thomas Reviews (Wave 2)
Duck
Diesel
Troublesome Trucks
The Fat Controller and Porter
Enjoy.
Duck:
We actually got Duck recently as we never did have one in our childhood. Duck has got good details on him and like all the ERTL Thomas toys. They are good for children to play with. The flaws on Duck are the wobbly wheels and the red plate along the wheels.
Overall: 4/5
Diesel:
Boo, Hiss. It's evil Diesel. This guy is slick compared to the others (asides Mavis). He has all the details on him and everything is painted well. This is one of the best ERTL toys ever. There is truly nothing wrong with this Diesel toy.
Overall: 5/5
Troublesome Trucks:
These trucks have details and wonderful faces. They are a little deformed though and their coupling pegs are fragile but not as fragile as Annie and Clarabel. As you can see we are not big fans of ERTL Rolling Stock.
Overall: 4/5
The Fat Controller and Porter:
The first figurines in the series and they looked very accurate. They were almost like accessories to the toys.
Not much to say about these as they are only little figures who can't really do much asides make your collection look better. They still are great figurines though.
Overall: 4/5
Overall Thoughts: Another brilliant wave. Not as many toys this time but all of them were fantastic. We will do this one out of 20 as there are four toys and its is a 5 star based system
Overall: 17/20
Apologies for the lack of pictures as they are awkward to use.

ERTL Thomas Reviews (Wave 1)
Hi guys. ThomasBros01 here and today. We will review the first wave ERTL Thomas Toys. This will consist of:
Thomas
Henry
James
Percy
Toby
Annie and Clarabel
Bertie
Edward
Gordon
Enjoy.
Thomas:
Ah, Good old ERTL Thomas. The first Thomas toy we ever remember owning. We still have our first one lying around in our ERTL Collection. Flashbacks aside, this Thomas has alot going for it. Six wheels, all movable. It is easy to push around making it suitable for children. It also has alot of details; Along the sides, the top of his tanks. This toy is defiantly Thomas like. The only flaws with this toy is the slightly wobbly wheels and the coupling holes widen overtime.
Overall: 4.5/5
Edward:
Good Old Edward. This toy has all the same strong points as Thomas. Suitable for kids and Loads of Details. It suffers from wobbly and at times very stiff wheels. The coupling holes are more durable on Edward though.
Overall: 4.5/5
Henry:
Henry has all the same strong points as Thomas and Edward but also the same flaw. The wheels. The smaller wheels can come off at times. Another problem detail wise is; Why is the side rod red? Why not just make it gray or white like the others.
Overall: 3.5/5
Gordon:
The big blue engine has the same pros as above. The flaws are the minor wheel issue and coupling hole issue like Thomas. However. It seems to suffer this problem more than Thomas. Also. Why does the new version have circular buffers? The older one didn't have circular buffers. It had square ones like the one on the show.
Overall: 4/5
James:
James has all the pros of Thomas of the others meaning that this James is very well done. The shame is the wobbly wheels and the slightly miss-painted number 5. Out of all the toys in this wave. This one has the best coupling holes.
Overall: 4.5/5
Percy:
Percy has the strong points and bad points (except the coupling holes) as his friend Thomas :P. Another problem is the red cylinders. They are meant to be green like they were in the show. This is a good toy though. Not much to say about this one.
Overall: 4/5
Toby:
The last engine of today. Toby has the same strong points as above. He also has details on his cowcatchers and side plates. Also on his top. The only flaw here is side plates don't fully cover his wheels. Meh, They would scratch on the floor if they did and the fact that Toby has stronger wheels makes up for it. This is the best engine in this first wave of ERTL Toys
Overall: 5/5
Annie and Clarabel:
Ah yes. The overused clique of Annie having an open mouth. Asides this. These two are quite good despite being our least favorites of the first wave. They have all the details and they even passengers shown on them. What a nice touch. The shame is. The wheels on them are very fragile aswell as the coupling pegs and holes.
Overall: 3/5
Bertie:
The only non rail character of this wave, Bertie has painted in passengers like Annie and Clarabel. The tires are a nice touch but they are very loose and slip off easily. Also. This does not look too Bertie-like does it. Look at the front window for proof.
Overall: 3.5/5
Overall Thoughts: A good start the series of memorable Thomas toys. All were good, some were great. Since there were 9 toys and it is a 5 star based system. We will do the overall wave out of 45.
Overall: 36.5/45
